About the Artist
Akiko Kato Ruiz is a fashion illustrator and live sketch artist based in Southern California, and is available for travel worldwide. Known for her elegant, expressive style and refined attention to detail, she has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Chanel, Gucci, Dior, Hermès, Target, and JPMorgan Chase, among others.
Akiko is also the founder and owner of akrDesignStudio, a lifestyle brand whose products are carried in stores accross the U.S. and worldwide.
Akiko was selected as one of the '22 Stationery Designers to shop' by Domino Magazine.

In 2014, Akiko launched akrDesignStudio with a collection of greeting cards designed to be kept and displayed as art. What began as a small series has evolved into a curated line of paper goods and lifestyle products — including greeting cards, art prints, enamel pins, keychains, notebooks, and planners — each hand-drawn in ink and watercolor.
Today, akrDesignStudio is carried in more than 200 stores across the United States and internationally.
